That’s it! The nominations are in and, wow, we have some true heroes in our county. Superman has nothing on these guys!
It's fair to say that small businesses have been making a big impact.
We were absolutely blown away by some of the nominations submitted and, with an incredible 198 nominees, we were touched by so many of your stories.
2020 was a year we will not forget anytime soon but, when times seemed most dark, it’s heart-warming to hear how our small businesses came together.
One person, when asked why the Kent business they were nominating deserved the award, said, “it’s their innovation and charm, keeping spirits high throughout lockdown.” Another said, “this pandemic has shown what a true star she really is”, and that is exactly what Wards’ High Street Heroes is here to celebrate.
Not all heroes wear capes and it just goes to show how much a simple act of kindness can make a real difference to someone, or indeed, a community.
From delivering essentials to the vulnerable to talking to those who need a friend, here at Wards, we’ve absolutely loved reading through all these glowing testimonials. Our cheeks started to ache from all the smiles, with one nominee being described as “a true inspiration to the county.”
The acts of kindness and selflessness are nothing short of inspiring and we can’t wait to give these businesses and individuals the credit and recognition they deserve.
The winners will be announced at the end of the month, so be sure to follow our social pages to keep up-to-date:
As Kent’s local high-street estate agent, we share the floor with some truly fantastic businesses and we can’t wait to celebrate them with you.
